Fighting against fast food!

The Fast Food Nation book was interesting and it has affected my eating habitats. Before, I started reading this book I ate fast food every weekend. I know it was bad but, I just couldn’t help but to eat it especially in and out, the hamburgers were and are so good and the animal fries. But know that I’ve read this book I’ve made a choice to stop eating fast food for me and my child because I don’t want my son or me getting obesity or getting other diseases such as, heart disease, colon cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, infertility and strokes. I think it would be sad if we passed away young and to knowing that we passed away with one of those disease that were caused by all the fast food we had ate. I also don’t think it’s bad to eat it once in a while. I don’t think my son will have an issue because the only reason he was eating it was because mom and dad were. My boyfriend and I are going to stop eating it, and at least eat it once a month or for emergencies because if I have food at home were going to start eating that instead of fast food. From now on it will be my family fighting against fast food and the fast food advertises.

  1. Fast food is everywhere so I also think it is not totally bad to eat it once in a while. It is really sad to know such things about fast food but it is better to know the truth than regret in the end, right?

  8. I love In N Out's animal fries as well. It is nice to see that you're going to start cooking in your house. There is nothing better than a home made meal.

  10. Nice Sheila, this English class has brought you a future of health for not only you but for your child too, now that’s priceless. I really liked to hear how much of a positive impact this one book gave you. I also appreciate the pact of you and your boyfriend made not to eat it except emergencies, let’s hope there’s not too many in the future huh? Your “Fight fast food” slogan should be a on a T-Shirt right...

  11. I agree with you on those animal style fries from in and out being so good and that's what makes it difficult to stay away from all the fast food. but about you keeping your son away from all the fast food is the best decision you could make.
